I searched you in the bells of temples...

and in the flames of  diyas...

the sounds of hymns...

and the whisper of prayers...

the queue that i followed... 

and the holy water they sprinkled.. 

closed the eyes to believe... 

and opened the eyes to see....

the more the caves i went...

the more stones i stared...

The sandal wood i carved...

and tried to feel your presence...

At times I analyzed...

and the other I mesmerized... 

the moment I realized...

the next I cried....

it was not like the way i prayed...

nor the way i blinked to see d offerings...

its not the same as my heart

or the blood flows in my vein...

I found you in every breath..in every blink of my eyes...

you were there to hold...sustain...and maintain...

you are the only blood flowing through generations...

and a belief that runs in each of my genes till the last breath i take...
