Keep Calm and Do Yoga!

You must be lifting weights?!
Hell No!
To be honest the gym instructor at my office, questioned me when I asked for weight lifting..
"Lift?? Do you even Gym?"
I remained silent and smiled.
They don't understand Yoga much.  Well stamina did rest of the talk.
So, people will have different views, opinions, judgements and comments.
But only you know, who you are!
The world is always like this. No change.
This piece of writing is dedicated to self love. Yes!
Don't do something in life just for the sake of doing.
Learn to enjoy every bit of it. Most importantly learn to Love yourself and
Love yourself unconditionally.
That's how you grow.. That's how you grow as an individual.
So when I started Yoga few years ago, I was really unaware of the advantages of it. My Mausi Mrs Susama Patra, who is working as a Technical Officer at PXE, Chandipur and my cousin, Doctor Ayaskranta Das has a great role in every aspects of my life. They are the ones who introduced Yoga slowly in our lives.. In the form of Meditation, Kapalbhati and others.
When I was at Bombay (I say it Bombay and not Mumbai because not only I have lived in the cities and enjoyed the beauty of it, I have roamed all over, stayed for years there and got attached emotionally. For me Bombay will be an emotion always. I love it to the core. May be I can write a blog of 1000 pages about Bombay), I used to do Yoga regularly. I started loving it. And slowly I could see the transformations in my body and mind.
I really believe Yoga has the healing power like none others.
You can mend your mind and body by doing Yoga regularly.
And in this year 2018, I am thankful to Yoga for all the energies I received, spread and the workouts I enjoyed. I learnt to stay strong. And as I always say.
Be strong from within.
Let no storm can bend you, mold you and injure you.
Remember to stand high with all your ethics, values and stay rooted.
Believe in yourself.
Talking about the image in this blog,
It was taken in our recent tour to Goa in October 2017.
May it be sand between your toes,
May it be the Sun shining high,
May it be you facing the never ending waves,
May it be you stand at 54 and trying to lift 62..they are just the digits..nothing matters!
JUST..DO..IT!
Because you believe in yourself! :)
.
.
Love always. Stay Fit.
Have a Challenging year a head.
You grow only when you face challenges.
Happy new year Two Zero Eighteen.

18th December

Well. To be honest I am someone who really really believes on the dates and I feel those are not just numerics. They have so much of significance in our lives.
I feel whatever happens, happens for a cause. Don't you think so!?
Ever you think why so many lines are there in your palm?!
Look closely at the tiny lines in your palm. As they say your lines in the palm decides who you meet in your life time and so as the time they stay in your life.
Well I believe palmistry is all about mathematics and maths can never be wrong at any time.
And the more I try to read about those hidden stories in those lines, the more I fall in love with life for giving me so much  caring hearts that beat for me.
Thanks life for giving me my beautiful family, all the friends..and my soulmate! ❤️
At times I feel life is so much beautiful with all the love that I found. I feel so lucky as always from the very childhood.

To be honest, no one knows what's there in future. What's written in destiny. But there is someone who keeps writing the stories and the love of universe keeps making it true.

Never ever search love. You will be disappointed if you will not get what you want. Let love find you.  Let love search you and let love cross all the boundaries..and all the miles to reach you to just say "Hi".

The tale of #amigyan started on one such random day and it became so special after that. Like everybody else, the day is precious  and none of us can forget those memories.

A big shout out to the day when it started with a "Hi" and the rest is history!!

our coffee date!

If there is a calmness in the center of the storm it would be here with you when the world revolves lovely around us but the only sound that matters is the sound of your words tripping over each other the same way mine do.
If there is a light in the darkness after dusk it would be bright blue like a planet like a star like your eyes cutting lines through the silence and straight into my heart where the truth burns bright like a beacon and any chance of keeping my feelings a secret withers up in the overwhelming heat.
If there is a way to communicate my intentions effectively it would take the form of a poem where I could write the words down so very carefully instead of having them all rushing out of my mouth and making a mess of themselves although if they did, you would clean it up without complaint, sorting through all the stupid shit I say and making it make sense.
If there is a test to determine how badly I want to and how brave I have become this would be it and now would be my moment to accidentally brush against you and accidentally let me catch you staring and accidentally let my guard down and accidentally let you know that none of this is an accident and I have been waiting for you all along.

One fine day!

Makar sankranti  is one of the few ancient Hindu festivals that has been observed according to solar cycles, while most festivals are set by the lunar cycle of the lunisolar Hindu Calendar. Being a festival that celebrates the solar cycle, it almost always falls on the same Gregorian date every year (January 14), except in rare years when the date shifts by a day for that year, because of the complexity of earth-sun relative movement. The festivities associated with Makar Sankranti are known by various names such as Lohri by north Indian Hindus and Sikhs, Sukarat in central India, Bhogali Bihu by Assamese Hindus, and Pongal by Tamil and other south Indian Hindus.  As I always say, Hindus are having lot many festivals to celebrate and being an Odia you can really have " n " number of festivals in every month.
With all the colorful rangoli designs everywhere and decorations along with kite flying, bonfire and feasts all these just add up to make the day glorious. Being a January Capricorn, I really enjoy this festival.
Last year was our first Makar Sankranti together. We three..Me, Pokémon and Saswat my brother went to temple for a prayer and prepared Makar food. Had lots of pics and celebrated well.
Out of all these stuffs, the most difficult stuff was to convince him to wear traditional and sit next to Pongal rangoli! ❤️❤️
Still as they say, Kshatriyas follow the tradition with respect and so as we.
Love. Live and spread happiness.
Enjoy each festival and spread positive vibes.
Love always!❤️❤️❤️

Alpana!

Never ever stop doing what you love to do. This is the only thing that keeps you alive.
If you see closely, everything is an art. Yes! Every damn thing you see is an art. And proud of having such a beautiful vision.
To make this life little more colorful, little more awesome and little more meaningful, we need to get engaged such things that provides inner happiness and peace.
Today spread some love and spread happiness to the world and see the magic.
Billions of them will come back to you.
Well, today's blog is about alpana.
So this is the holy month of Margashira.
Margasira Masam is the 9th month in the Hindu Calendar. The month got its name after Mrigasira Nakshatra or star when coincides with the full moon day of the month. The month is also known by the name Agrahayana which is considered as the month of equinox. The meaning of Agra is elder and that of ayana is transition / travel.
So being Hindu and Being Odia, they say we celebrate 13 festivals in 12 months.
We actually love celebrating all the festivals.
Being a winter baby, winter is my favorite season of the year and I love each festival making it more special.

Well, so what's special about this month is.. According to mythology the married women celebrate "Manabasa Gurubara" on every Thursday of this Margasira month for welcoming Goddess Lakshmi!
Here on this day, they wake up early in the morning..not exactly morning.. They wake up before sunrise..takes bathe, cleans house and make the alpana designs at the doorsteps and near the tulsi Chaura(temple).
They welcome Goddess Lakshmi with beautiful alpanas /Jhotis. (Alpana refers to colourful motifs, sacred art or painting done with hands and paint which is mainly a paste of rice and flour on auspicious occasions). Lovely occasion and wonderful celebration.
Proud being Odia as always!

Prathamastami!

Happy Prathamastami!💖
.
.
Prathamastami is a rite held in Odisha for the life and prosperity of the eldest child who is offered a lighted lamp ovation by the senior female relatives followed by elaborate rituals during which the Mantras are recited. The celebration falls on the dark half eighth day - Ashtami - of the month of Margashirsha according to the Purnimanta calendar followed in North India, occurring after the eight day of Kartik Purnima. The ritual involves Aarathi of the eldest child. According to psychologists the first-borns are mostly healthy, obedient and tradition-bound. Therefore, the family tradition is maintained through them. :)

A filmy shot!

May you name it something
And may you call it filmy
I call it love
Where the world is dreamy!

Happiness is the wind in my hair
The sand between my toes..
The deep blue gorgeous sea..
The sun upon my skin..
And most importantly...
Life in the arms of my love!

Navratri! 2017 ❤️

They say "You can move the boy out of Bombay, but you can not move Bombay out of the boy". And they say it correct.
Last year, 2016 when I landed at Hyd and saw there was no such celebration for Navratri I felt so disappointed. I missed Bombay really hard. (As I always do).
Yes!
It was like no dress code at office premises, no dandiya nights in the society, no more lighting. I felt so isolated each time I was opening Fb and it was flooded with all the navratri celebrations.
I was quite disappointed.
Well, our vacation started and we went on roaming with family and I forgot that period.
And here comes 2017.
Month September.
And I was all worried how to face this year navratri days.
But Believe me, the best part of life is when you are afraid of something and you face it with too much of good energy and positive vibe.
Yes.
It was all possible with my super cute Pokémon.
True.
The universe always listens to you, whenever it's time. I love Krishna, and I feel HE listens to my wishes, prayers and helps in making it come true.
We enjoyed a lot this time.
We really did.
I tried my level best to create a mini Bombay at my hyd residence and we somewhat succeeded too.
We made so many changes this year.
We made small changes to make this world little colorful and spreading positive vibe throughout the Navratri days to the world.
Mandatory the rangoli we made.
The bird hammock we made may be was not so colorful, we added applique works of Odisha to attract the tiny birds.
We attended almost all the dandiyas possible.
I specially put the Rajasthani lehenga choli for an add on.
Clicked lot many pics.
Some light decoration.
Recorded few.
And after all, it went too well that, I made new friends (north Indian) at my society who used to come for dandiya.
We attended a Bengali dandiya night program.
Also I learnt participating in the Telangana festival Bathukamma. Danced there too.
Like it was totally a 9 days celebration mode.
All happy happy.
Lovely atmosphere.
They say it correct. It is really important to choose your partner.
Like I really feel sometimes, it's lucky to have someone who supports you in each and every phase of your life. No matter how busy they are.
I am super lucky to have him by my side.
I can only say that.
Above all, Disco dandiya was the best.
Went with mom and dad.
Lovely.
It was funny and intersting at the same time.
God bless you all.
Dear Navratri, will miss you a lot.
Okay. Let's accept it.
One more year to go.
Yes.
One more year to go for these navratri nights.
One more year to go for these fun filled moments to arrive.
One more year to go for these attire to put on.
One more year to go for the decorations.
One more year to go for the garba and bathukamma.
One more year to go for #Discodandiya.
One more year to go for all the beautiful decorations everywhere.
One more year to go for the love in air!

I am gonna miss you #navratri2017!

#amigyan❤️

What do I feel when I write Amigyan?!
It's not only about the love that strengthens our relationship. .
It's not only about the bond we share..
It's not only about the moments we cherish..
It's not only about just the name we combined..
It's more than everything.. Its more than every damn thing in this whole world.
It's an emotion..
It's more than an emotion that runs in the blood..
It's more than a fear that keeps the eyes wide open..
It's more than a stimulation that keeps each of the nerves hyperactive..
It's the soul we care for..
It's the deep down trust we share..
It's more than the sacred thread that I tie and it's more than the Sindur I keep in my forehead.
It's more than everything and it takes a whole life to cherish what it means!
❤️
It's a blessings to find your soulmate!
❤️
And believe me.. The whole world revolves around this!
❤️
Amigyan is a swear taken by two Kshatriyas!
❤️
And each sacrifice keep the flame alive..!!
❤️
With every damn breath I take!

Happy New Year!

Returning to this space and specifically to this particular blog page is a perfect example of procrastination which I can corelate to Anshi...
